This classic blends pinto beans with bay leaf, garlic, turkey ham, onions, thyme and Creole seasonings. Serve on top of long grain white rice to make a complete meal!
2. In large stock pot heat all ingredients with beans and bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer 3 hours, or until beans are tender, stirring occasionally. Keep warm.

cooked long grain or parboiled rice

3. To Serve: For each serving, scoop 1 cup rice into bowl and top with 1/2 cup hot beans with cooking liquids.
